You have two choices for a great view of Orient Bay, all the nearby islands and St Barts: the shops on Hope Hill including Local Rums & Spices or the restaurant next door, Paradise View Restaurant. There's also nearby Rancho del Sol. Both sit on hills just off the main highway with all of Orient Bay spreading out below. That's Orient Village in the foreground and Green Cay in the background. Paradise View is open everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a Breton creperie that also serves cocktails and giant ice creams, French cider, fresh pastries, and waffles with chocolate, whipped cream, or honey. Rancho has it all, pizza, burgers, snacks, Tex-Mex, American, and French. |

Boo Boo Jam is at the northern end of Orient. Palm Beach Restaurant opened just south of them in 2010, serving international cuisine in an Indonesian-themed setting. Coco and Waikiki come next. The current Bikini Beach was hornswoggled from its previous owner so we don't go there. Lots of places have bands, usually on weekends.

Head on down to the beach and you'll find Kakao Beach near the center and this lovely table overlooking the beach. A bit further south is Orange Fever, serving the usual beach fare and some very good pizzas. That's Olivier, one of the owners, on the right.

These views came from the border between the nude and prude beaches. They are of Green Cay from the chairs at Pedro's Beach Bar. There were some better views in the nude section, but this is a family website.

This is a couple going out for a parasail from the shack between Pedro's Beach Bar and Orange Fever. It's great fun and and the views are spectacular.

This is the sign at the entrance to the nude section. I took the next photo near the sign. There were better shots.

At night the action moves off the beach to Orient Village. A real town square attracts bocce ball players and lots more. Frequently there is music and there are plenty of restaurants. Table d'Antoine serves something like bistro food, only better.

If you keep going south, this is the view of the salt pond and the new construction behind Orient Beach from the road heading past the Butterfly Farm and Bayside Riding Stables to Chez Pat on Galion Beach. If you are looking for a calm, sandy beach with great watersports, this is the place.
